Pin Up Punk

As you all know I'm such a feminine dresser and my outfits usually consist of 50's style dresses and cardigans. But every so often I like to throw a spanner in the works and actually wear jeans. It doesn't happen very often as I fall in and out of love with them but they do come out on the odd occasion. This outfit is what I like to call Pin Up Punk. I have teamed pretty peplum tops and victory rolled hair with giant Creeper heels and a tartan blazer. Tartan always screams punk to me. I think it works quite well...

Tartan Blazer - River Island
Polka Dot Peplum Top - Dorothy Perkins
Red Waist Belt - Vintage
Black Skinny Jeggins - Warehouse
Red "Creeper" Heels - Amazon

I think, if I'm brave enough, of trying this outfit on a night out. But with some disco pants instead. Maybe! I could look ridiculous in them! I'm yet to try the heels out yet. They are so comfy and I like how they give instant edge to any outfit.

Put a Bow on it!

IFB have teamed up with Fekkai on their latest project and are spreading the love about hair. Personally my barnet means the world to me. As ridiculous as that sounds. The way I style my hair makes or breaks an outfit. I take alot of inspiration from the 40's,50's and 1960's and I love the fact that if I have a dress down day all I need to do is give my hair some Retro flair ( Ooo that rhymes! ) and will still feel my complete self.

All hair types are beautiful. Long, short, thick, thin, polka straight, bouncy curls. Well the list is endless! Every hair style can pull off one accessory. BOWS! You could be completely bald and still rock a headscarf! If you look at the examples above you can see the vast range of styles you can use as a platform for such fun accessory.

What inspires me most about hair is how you use it or what you make of it. You may feel like your hair is boring or has no style but let me tell you. Put a Bow on it and you'll have the best hairstyle in the room!

I would love to see you rocking this look!

French Blues

Yes that's right, I have actually done an outfit post!! It's only taken me 3 months! I've been feeling a bit insecure lately, especially about my weight so I think that's the reason why I've put it off for so long. Anywayyyyyy here's a little number I put together. I feel very French in this, clearly it's just the beret. The dress is another work purchase, I adore the print it's very 40's. Basically I'm loving Navy right now, with a throw in of some leopard print of course. Makes a change from teaming it with black...

 Why so serious?!

Beret - Miss Selfridge
Leopard Print Mac - Primark
Floral Tea Dress - Warehouse
Chain Collar - Miss Selfridge
Belt - Vintage
Bag - Accessorize
Buckle Boots - Office

So I hope I haven't disappointed with this outfit. Seeing as it's been a while. I'll be back on it regularly hopefully.

Round Up of Outfit Lovin' - February

Ahhh it's been a while since I've done a round up. How I've missed them so. It's safe to say that 2013 so far hasn't dissapointed. Here's a few of the looks that stood out to me last month...

First up we have Zoe from Girl with the Flower, now I'm pretty sure you know why I love this look. Three uses of polka dots, teamed with a floral kimono and a flower crown. AMAZING! I especially love the shades they look perfect with the emerald green lips. Zoe is definitely a true individual and I can't wait to follow her looks.

In at #2 we have Borjana from BeesWonderland. I really like how this could of been a very tailored look but adding the over sized denim gave it that instant edge. It's very clean lined yet the hair, shades and statement necklace gives it that Rock n Roll feel. Plus you should all know by now that I'm a sucker for polka dots. Especially giant ones like these! Be sure to check out her fab style.

Next we have Leelo from Le dressing Leelo. She looks like she's stepped straight out of a film in this outfit. A great 60's silhouette. I love the gingham coat but I think adding the deep red bow makes it stand out even more. This whole picture just looks so romantic!

Last but not least we have a very cute yet sexy doll like look from Tini Tani. What really makes this stand out to me is her amazing emerald geen heels. Such a perfect colour and very big this spring! Her adorable bow print socks create a great platform for her statement shoes. Basically this look is inanely cute and I want her legs!

Make sure you check out all these lovely ladies!

Dressing Room

If you're up to scratch with my recent life change then you'll know that I've moved into a lovely house with some great girls. It is ridiculously feminine. Cushions EVERYWHERE! We've been here for one whole month and I can honestly say that I am so happy and absolutely love it! I thought I'd give you a little look into my favourite room. My dressing room of course!

I don't know about you but I love surrounding myself with all my little trinkets. I think having treasures on display inspires and influences me creatively. I feel so lucky to have a dressing room, especially of this size. I have compromised by having a dinky bedroom but it's so cute that I really don't mind. Sleep or clothes? Sleep of clothes. Clothes. DUH!

Beetlejuice!

1. Stripe Dress £35 River Island  2. Lime Green Bag £18 River Island 3. Lime Green Blouse £30 River Island 4. Stripe Shirt £45 Warehouse 5. Lime Green Jumper £35 River Island 6. Stripe Pencil Skirt £32 Topshop 7. Lime Green Heels £75 Office

I am all over what I call the "Beetlejuice" trend.  To me monochrome stripes and lime green accesories go hand in hand. This look is great for transitioning into new seasons. The monochrome can be kept for Winter but the hint of Lime nods to the new Spring trends. I personally would love a vertical, stripe peplum dress teamed with some shoes similar to the beautiful snakeskin pair above. If only!

So what do you think to this look? If you like what you see be sure to check out all the links.

P.S. I'm still having some camera issues! Don't worry you'll be seeing my ugly mug soon enough. Haha!

Since I've been gooooone!

Hello My Lovelies !!!

I have missed you all so much and I feel completely out the blogging loop. These past few months have been pretty crazy and my life got turned upside down. But I'm back on track and happier than ever!

Unfortunately my long term relationship came to an end. On good terms so S'alllll good! But was still an unpleasant experience at the time. It meant moving back in with my mum, which definitely had it's perks. But being miles out of town and having to take a 50 minute bus journey back and forth everyday, really took it's toll. Fortunately me and two lovely girls have found a gorgeous house and loving every minute of it. It is ridiculously feminim. If you follow my blog you can only imagine the styles of my rooms. Polka Dots, Florals and Pin Ups everywhere!  I'll provide pictures on my upcoming posts and I'll give you the low down on my fabulous house mates!

So why haven't you been blogging I hear you cry?! Well I've been without internet for over a month. Can you believe it! Plus I've lost my camera charger during the move. One thing after another. But no excuses now, I'll be back on a regular basis.

I'm looking forward to catching up with you lovely lot again!
